Octane Vol 1
EVENT: Octane Underground Vol.1: 2025 - Looking back.
I attended Octane Underground Vol.1 last year at Greyhound Racing SA in Angle Park. The event ran with both a day session (more family-oriented) and a night program, giving it two different flavours on the same day.
I attended the night portion which was held inside the large undercover shed. Coloured lighting, smoke machines, and DJ created a proper atmosphere, while food and coffee kept things comfortable. It was a paid entry event, and the setup worked well for showing cars at night.
The turnout was solid for a first volume. A good mix of JDM builds, modified street cars, and clean examples from different eras. The undercover space allowed people to move around easily and actually look at the cars without the usual daytime glare or weather issues.
As a first running, Octane Underground showed clear potential. The combination of a family-friendly day session and a more atmospheric night program gave the event range, and the venue choice proved practical.
I am looking forward to Vol.2 this year on September 12th at Plant 4 Bowden (5:30–9pm). I’ll be there as a sponsor and vendor. These events tend to build momentum quickly once the formula is proven.
More to come from this one.
